OnTranslation at the Valencia ProZ Conference We have just returned from the ProZ Valencia Conference that took place from October 15th to 16th and focused on the all over knowledge background a translator needs to have! A gathering of freelance translators and interpreters working with different language combinations and within different specialization domains. The conference featured a number of talks in reflection of the global reality of translation today: subtitling and related open source software, translation assisted tools, videogames localization, professional use of social networks, among others. We enjoyed the conference very much and we won’t miss next ProZ meeting! |
